1-on-1 Coaching

I’m a multifaceted coach, mentor, and educator. I offer creative coaching support, speaker training, help with career transitions, education consulting, support with goals and accountability, writing support, and EFL tutoring.

I specialize in working with people with strong values systems to identify pathways that are in alignment with their life’s work, and support people in learning to express themselves authentically, while feeling grounded and confident in their bodies.

We all have a unique voice that deserves to be heard, and my goal is to help you shine as yourself. No matter whether you’re pitching your dream project, taking the stage at TED, or speaking truth to power at a community meeting, I’ll work with you to meet your specific goals.

About Me

I’m an astronomer, educator, and movement artist with an unusual breadth of experience. I have given hundreds of talks to audiences of all descriptions, including two TED talks with millions of views each. I’ve appeared on multiple television shows for major networks such as National Geographic and History, and I’ve appeared as myself in two feature films. I’ve spoken in front of government policy makers, to commuters on the NYC subway, and to kids in the rural Midwest. I’ve even managed to keep a few thousand teens entertained at Carnegie Hall! I got my start in the academic world, where I've mentored students at Princeton, UC Berkeley, the University of Chicago, Illinois Institute of Technology, and other universities around the world on navigating challenging career quandaries, clarifying their values, and staying true to their goals. In addition to individual coaching, I am also happy to work with groups or institutions to develop custom coaching programs.
